Discuss “Women's Soccer”
Last Thursday, the Carnegie Mellon women?s soccer team traveled to Meadville, Pennsylvania, to face the Gators of Allegheny College, and came away with a 2?2 tie in a game shortened by lightning. The Tartans remain unbeaten, improving their record to 3?0?2.
The Gators took the early lead in the 19th minute, as midfielder Jen Bilec?s corner allowed teammate Leah Karpa to head the ball inside the far post. However, the home squad?s lead would not last long, as first-year forward Kasey Stever skillfully beat an out-of-position Allegheny goalkeeper to put the Tartans on the scoreboard in the 37th minute.
