Senior Sean Filipovitz slammed home a loose ball in the box to give the Carnegie Mellon men?s soccer team a 2?1 victory Friday night over Case Western Reserve, the seventh straight win for the Tartans, ranked 19th in their division.
Filipovitz?s goal came in the 80th minute after a corner kick by Daniel Mastalski resulted in a scrum in front of the net. When the ball squirted to the side, Filipovitz was standing all alone to drill it by Case goalie Chad Skidmore.
