Discuss “Lecture Preview/Ted Kooser, Poet Laureate”

Ted Kooser, current U.S. Poet Laureate and 2005 Pulitzer Prize winner for poetry, will give a poetry reading at 8 pm on Wednesday as part of the Adamson Visiting Writers Series. The reading will take place in the Adamson Wing of Baker Hall.

As a poet, Kooser is known for the accessibility of his words, language, and ideas. A professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Kooser is the author of 11 full-length collections of poetry. He won the Pulitzer for his book Delights and Shadows, a compilation of poetry published by Cooper Canyon Press.

Kooser was appointed the Library of Congress?s 13 Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry in the fall of 2004.
