Discuss “Men's track finishes second at UAAs; women sixth”

Battling through inclement weather, the men?s and women?s track teams continued to impress during their outdoor campaigns. The men?s team placed second of seven teams, just 23 points behind champion Washington. The women placed fifth in the competitive division.

This past weekend marked the end of the track season for athletes not moving on to national competition. The UAA Track and Field Championships of 2005 were hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Carnegie Mellon made a strong showing on the first day of competition, demonstrating their ability to produce results in crunch time. After several months of development and improvement, the Tartans have proven that they are one of the most competitive teams in the conference.
