Carnegie Mellon men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed at the Oberlin Invitational Friday night. The men’s team finished first and the women’s team captured third.

The men’s indoor track and field team finished first out of six teams with 138 points, 15 points ahead of second-place Thiel College. Carnegie Mellon junior Eric Tang won both the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.70 seconds and the long jump with a jump of 6.51 meters. Junior Mike Bridenbaugh finished first in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:00.98 and senior thrower Tom Matta placed first in the shot put with a 14.05-meter throw.
