I AM NOT HISPANIC.
I am a MEXICAN.I am a Mexican-descent person.
I am not a Spaniard. I am not from Spain. I don't even speak Spanish very well.
I use a Japanese car, but that doesn't make me Japanese. Shaqueille O'Neil has an Irish name and speaks English, but that doesn't make him an Irishman.
I am brown-skinned, not white-skinned like a European. Most of my family tree comes from Mexican Indians. That's why I'm BROWN.
I AM NOT A SPANIARD. I AM NOT HISPANIC. I AM NOT AN IMMIGRANT FROM SPAIN. I AM NOT A FOREIGNER.
"Hispanic" is a racist label meant to kill our identity as Indigenous-descent people. It's a false label. It's a deception. Whites don't want us to think of ourselves as "The Indians" (mixed-bloods and full-bloods), because then we will question their presence on our continent.
Notice how nobody ever says "Hispanic Indians"?
Notice how it's totally EUROCENTRIC?
It's a new label meant to brand us as foreigners with a lame culture that can only brag of salsa dancing and speaking Spanish, instead of bragging about pyramids, Mayan astronomy, Aztec cities, and a heritage that precedes Europeans on this continent by thousands of years.
Don't call me Hispanic or Latino!
