Discuss “ATHLETE PROFILE: Molly Evans”

Saturday afternoon, the Carnegie Mellon women’s swim team recorded three wins at the quad meet over Franklin & Marshall (153­–109), University of Rochester (178–84) and Washington & Lee (167–95). The team won seven events and placed second in five.

Last week, The Tartan chatted with Molly Evans, a first-year swimmer. Evans was named the University Athletic Association Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week on Oct. 30 for her intercollegiate debut with three event wins, two NCAA qualifying times, and a school record. She set the school record for the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.71, breaking the previous record by more than seven seconds.
